Hi Dave,
Thanks for the help. "So easie it seem'd, once found, which yet unfound, most would have thought impossible." John Milton, Paradise Lost.
Friday at Temora was OK but the sky was smoky and cloudy. I stayed around 'till 4.45pm to catch the last rays while the boys practiced a few circuits.
Saturday looked to be a repeat of last year with storm clouds on the horizon so I high-tailed for Sydney.

That Hudson photo is the money shot, simply gorgeous. One of my favourite planes of all time.

Sure is a beautiful aircraft. Here she is touching down on one wheel at Temora last October. And here is Matt Denning's Boomerang

Wonderful. I'll bet it sounds as good as it looks too (and that goes for the Boomerang too)

I have to admit that waking up on Sunday and seeing blue sky was a huge surprise, especially as the rain had been somewhat heavier overnight.
Thanks for the compliments, Peter. I need a bigger zoom though: there's too much blue sky around my aeroplanes! ;D

Hi Corsair 67,
May I respectfully suggest that you select a lower shutter speed when shooting propellor aircraft with the engine/s running? 1/250th is about as fast as you should shoot to keep some prop-blur. Use TV so you can control this, of course. The you have to learn to pan so you don't blur the rest of the image. Check out Glen's cracking shots. Image-stabilised lenses help a great deal.
Which camera system do you use?

Do either of you have any pics of that nice Military Cessna 180 in the background? (yeah I like the heavy metal, but I'm a "Bugsmasher" man....) Love that interesting angle on the Mustang - never be afraid to try a different shot! The Hudson looks awesome in the sun as well. and thats a serious paint job on that Extra!
