Three P-40's

Did anyone who went to the Wanaka airshow this year manage to get any decent photos of the three P-40's in the air together?

They flew together on the Friday and the Sunday, briefly both times due to Garth Hogan's P-40N having engine trouble.

I still haven't seen any good photos of that event (the Friday was supposedly the first time since about 1948 that three have flown together in NZ - unless they flew a practise on the Thursday?)

So, did anyone get a decent shot of them?

Probably not Decent as the weather was crap. I've got a few of them all on the ground together which I have yet to show online but I do have this one on the ebsite. You need to visit it more ;-)

Nice one Glen, well caught. Here is my single shot of the three Kittyhawks during their take off roll.

A bit on the grainy side as I was too far away even with a 300mm and I have cropped out a lot of dry grass..



I shot 2075 from Thursday to Sunday. JUst about paid for the investment in the 20D!
