I see the RNZAF gained high praise for the 757 display at Waddington yesterday.
"The Kiwis were fantastic. Well done to all, especially the world's newest aerobatic team (I'm not biased at all!!!)"

I think it was an oblique reference to the Kiwi presence! We all know a P3 can outdisplay anything the RAF has!

Some very nice shots there Dave, especially of the Canberra, which is already advertised for sale in the latest Flypast. I have the word from a mate who was there that the PR9 display would have used up a considerable amount of remaining airframe life! The pilot is a 61 -year-old Squadron Leader, apparently! About my age; a mere lad!

And it's bloody good to see the "old fellas" are getting involved in flying these wonderful aircraft at airshows.
One of the current Red Checkers pilots is an oldie too! I think the commentator at the Wigram Classic said that he joined the RNZAF in the late-1960s.

Ah, the mighty Vulcan: now there's an aircraft I would've loved to have seen in flight.
