Have you seen the Omaka 'Classic Fighters' 2007 poster on the website yet? www.classicfighters.co.nz/That looks distinctly like a Zero or Zero replica being advertised. All the other types shown are accounted for (the P-40's, etc already confirmed), but where is this Zero to come from? Is it the ex-AFC one returning across the Tasman?

You mean the Harvard dolled up to look like Zero? Airworthy examples are all based in the US - The Planes of Fame A6M5-52 NX46770 with the original Sakae motor, and up to four others with P&W powerplants.

Well it makes sense it's a Harvard conversion from Tora Tora Tora as the airshow is film themed.
I really liked Sir Tim's Zero replica, it added a great dimension to the RNZAF fighters for battles, etc.
