Well I'll be jiggered. I was sitting here minding my own business and thought I could hear a buzzing sound. It became louder and distinctly sounded like multiple aircraft. I went out the back and low and behold, four Airtrainers in close formation in the distance.
Lake Karapiro is about 5 minutes drive south-east of my place, and so I could see quite clearly in the airspace above the lake that four yellow Airtrainers were doing a rather nice display above the lake.
The Maadi Cup is on there this weekend, which is the NZ secondary schools Rowing Champs. I wish I'd known they were going to be there, I'd have gone out to the lake for a loser view. They've headed home now I think.
It's really nice to see the Checkers in Cambridge airspace.
