Last night I was at my mate's and we were watching Juice TV music channel. A NZ music video (cannot recall the band) came on and it had several shots of a Connie in it. I suspect mostly CGI.
The thing is my mate, who's also aircraft mad, said there's another plane from that era that looks a lot like a Connie but only has two tail fins rather than three. I can't picture what he was thinking of and he couldn't recall the aircraft's name. Has anyone got a clue? What looks like a Connie with twin tails? He reckons it wasn't just a version of the Connie but a different aircraft all together.

Is this Lancaster-type format of fins? Can't think of anything like that. DC-4/6/7's had single tails (apart from the prototype) and Boeing 307/377's had single fins also. hmm,..dunno about that one. You sure he's not thinking of a Lockheed 10/12 ? TNZ

Perhaps the airspeed ambassidor? often referred to as a "twin engined Connie" although it had 3 fins... Alternatively maybe a B24 Liberator or C82 Express.
Just guesses.....

Thanks guys, I'm still unsure what he means but will put these names to him. The other I thought of was the Lancastrian.
