Hey I'm interested to know why it was you lot have picked ATC over TS and CDT C?? And what you think of them in the way of what they do? Their standard of dress? Their drill? etc, etc, etc, lol Just don't slag 'em off we all are well and truly aware of what Dave said so just keep that in mind aye...?

well i did'nt even know Cadet Forces were around until i was year 8 and that was when 3 people came to my school and talked about, and then even when i joined i didnt know there were sea cadets and army cadets proberly untill half way through basic year. if one of htem had come to my school i would of joined them and not atc

Well i knew of the rotc and i would've joined them if we hadn't changed our plans and stayed in nz then my mate told me to just join the atc, i asked my family for approval then they gave me my options (I knew the atc was more suited to me so I joined). since my dad used to be in the atc he approved no problem. Ever since then i havn't looked back with good reason too I love the atc!

Well I basically joined firstly because my family is widely involved with some ATC squadrons and the RNZAF which influenced me greatly.

Over in Thames we have both NZCC and ATC too choose from, in the same unit  . It's really cool to have both corps because you get to learn about the air force uniform (i'm green by the way) and get to go on both ATC and NZCC activites (eg, northern area skills NZCC and Air Force Experience ATC ), |
