Helping Youth Prepare For The Future
New Zealand Cadet forces, is working towards a Level Two Certificate (50 credits) with NZQA, which can be used towards NCEA., is holding an official evening on Monday, October 29, at 7pm at the Lower Hutt R.S.A. NZCF is a place where these students can become involved in, Sea Cadets, Air Training Cadet Corps, or the N.Z. Cadet Corps, where the training programmes emphasize personal development, and include a quality, nationally co-ordinate annual programme, which aims to foster a spirit of adventure and teamwork, and to develop those qualities of mind and body essential for good citizens and leaders. New Zealand Cadet Forces recognise that 13 years is the age our youth is influenced by their peers, It is important to recognise the difficulties our youth is experiencing, so they provide challenging and disciplined training activities which will be useful in either Service or civilian life. The N.Z. Cadet Forces are a youth leadership training organisation created from a partnership Between the New Zealand Defence Force and the community. It is not a part of the N.Z. Defence Force but is supported by and gets its military training flavour from The N.Z. Defence force. New Zealand Cadet Forces (NZCF) comprise the Sea cadets Corps, the Air Training Corps, and the New Zealand Cadet Corps. It is a voluntary Disciplined, uniformed youth leadership training organisation for both boys and girls aged 13 to18 The organisation is not part of the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) but is directed by the Chief of Defence Force, on behalf of the Minister of Defence, and is supported in partnership by the NZDF and the community. In order to run these organisations each Cadet Corps requires support and committee members for the Tri-Corp Units. This support comes from parents, caregivers, friends, and friends of the Squadrons. We are also looking for sponsorship to help support the individual Cadet Corp Units in order to support their training programmes. These organisations are ideal for our youth as it helps prepare them for the future, whether they decide to become involved in The R.N.Z.N. The R.N.Z.A.F. The New Zealand Army, The New Zealand Police Force, or working in the civilian world. An official evening about New Zealand Cadet Forces, will be held at the Lower Hutt R.S.A. Monday 29 October 7pm-9pm, opening with a traditional Powhiri, performed by the Kapa Haka Students of Maidstone Intermediate School, a Pacific Island welcome, (both Tongan and Samoan) performed by the Pacific Island Group Students from Taita College, followed by St Orans College Choir, completing the Official welcome Opening with Hutt Intermediates Music Group.
