Greetings everyone
The book was printed several weeks ago in Invercargill and was then sent to Christchurch to be bound. It will be available very shortly.
I am now in the throes of organising the selling process and I have attached an order form for those with e-mail, or you may prefer to use the form below. I would greatly appreciate it if you could please spread the news of the availability of the book and if practical copy the form and spread it among your family and friends, as well as to anyone you think could be interested. I would also be grateful if it could be placed on airport, aero club and aviation related noticeboards. Most of you receiving this Newsletter have had a close association with either the Taupo Flying School and/or Air Central and so the book encompasses a part of your personal life history so please consider it strongly as a Christmas gift for family and friends.
The book will eventually be available from some selected retailers at the Recommended Retail Price of $39.90 plus $5.00 packaging and postal cost (if applicable), BUT my plea to you (and that you please request others) is to seriously consider purchasing copies directly from me for a discount (see the below for details) as it is necessary for me to personally sell as many copies as possible if I am to ever to break even financially. Below is the special Earlybird offer which gives a saving of $4.90 per copy for early orders. I have also included Bulk Order Special Discounts- People living overseas please contact me and I will let you know the cost of postage. In addition I will sign the copies that I sell – perhaps a somewhat dubious extra!
I will visit both Taupo and Napier in the second half of November to ‘launch’ the book. Arrangements are being finalised for an afternoon at both places where I hope those within reasonable distance will be able to come. The book will be available for you to view and to purchase if you wish. All books sold at the Taupo and Napier Book Launches (see below for details) will also be sold at a discount. If you can assist at either venue or offer any suggestions please contact me urgently.
It has been an almost 3 year effort on my part to attempt to record the efforts of a group of motivated Kiwis who looked skywards, built an airline and made a difference. Thank you for all your help, it has been a lot of hard work but your positive support has made it a real privilege. Enjoy the book.
