Does anyone know if it's possible to still find a copy of the poster produced by the RNZAF Museum in the mid-1980s of A-4K NZ6208 over Mt Ngaruhoe? I used to have a copy, but it's long gone now - probably recycled into photocopy paper. Even a good quality scan of the image would probably be okay if someone has the poster tucked away somewhere.

I think it is White Island rather than Ngaruhoe.
I don't have the poster per se, but there is a copy on the back of the Kiwi Red booklet which I have.

I think I might have that poster somewhere, but I'm not sure if it's the one you mean. Is it sort of cruising side on and in the old 1970's colours? If I do have it, I don't know where it is. Somewhere stored away in a nice cardboard roll. I have the poster of a Skyhawk firing missiles over White Island too, in the same place.
I guess if you just fire an email to the museum they'll be able to answer whether they stock it. If they don't, i can do a search for mine.
I also have a lovely print I bought at Ohakea of a Skyhawk. a Strikemaster and Sir Tim in the Spitfire in formation. I think that's in the same place... lost.

Dave, that first poster you described is the one. The Skyhawk is side on over the crater, and it's in the three colour 1970s - early-1980s scheme. I think it has a CATM on the outer wing pylon?
I might try the Museum, but I'd say that it's well and truly sold out by now. It was a very popular print in it's day and always seemed to sell quite well at all the airshows.
I guess the other option is to ask if the RNZAF have a copy of the photo on file. I do seem to recall that it wasn't an RNZAF Official photo, but taken by David Hamilton; whoever he is/was (no, not the English photographer with a fetish for semi naked girls - at least I don't think so!).

Wouldn't be this one would it? Although I think that might be Mount Taranaki rather than Ngaruhoe.

Sam, that's not the exact image I was after, but it's pretty cool anyway. Where'd you pick that one up from?

I'm pretty sure I've got that image you are after on my computer at home. I'm currently away for a few days but will have a look for it early next week when I get back and post it if I have got it.

I don't have the one you describe, but this one is from 1988 and is quite nice.

Classic photos - especially the last one.
Sam's picture is the one I was thinking of I think.

Slightly off topic, but I've been looking for an excuse to post this for ages: Early 80's recruiting poster. Three guesses at the market they were looking at. ;D

Sam, that's great. You have quite an interesting collection of RNZAF material. By the way, where's Colin these days? He hasn't run away with Sue Bradford on a romantic holiday I hope? ? ;D

I haven't been posting much either, its just a quiet spell I think.

I'll have to say something to stir him up then! ;D By the way, it was good to catch up with Colin and yourself at Omaka too. Nice to be able to put faces to names.

Crikey, we have a Dave Hamilton who spent a bit of time in the RNZAF about the time the photo of ZK-XVI, the Skyhawk and Strikemaster was taken. He is a Captain on the B1900D now based in Gizzy. I will see if it was him that took the photo.

Al, I'd be interested to know if it's the same guy. I'd be guessing the A-4K picture was taken in about 1981-82, but not 100% sure.

If you're talking about the one I posted Corsair it has to be 1984-85 based on the 2Sqn insignia and general scheme, sometime after TRIAD '84 based on the zap on the fin.
