PanAM operated most large jet types, including all Boeings, Douglas, and Lockheed. Fleet list here www.panamair.org/aircraft/aircraft.htmBit of nostalgia. Most people do not realise just what Pan Am and in particluar, Juan Trippe, contributed to the development and expansion of world wide air travel. They were also the driving force behind Boeing's 747 which was to be an interim flagship for Pan Am until the Boeing Supersonic Cruiser could be built (it never happened).
