The F-16s have arrived!

With the recent windfall of a huge amount of oil discovered in the southern basin, the new National government is keen to protect its interests. As a result the RNZAF has reformed its combat squadrons (2 & 75 sqns) with F-16C/Ds.

These exclusive pictures to The Wings over Cambridge Forum show F-16s arriving at Ohakea - one in belated 70th anniversary colours and another fully armed.

I'll get back to the shots on the other thread (Omaka air show)next week but I have been given these virtual models which I wanted to share - makes you want to cry thinking what might of been

Very neat. I like the 70th scheme too, and also Boeing and the Unipower in the background.

Sadly mate the oil rights seem to have been sold to foreigners today so this won't happen.

Sorry Steve I should of acknowledged your good work (and Charl and the others) in these when I originally posted.

Hi Steve, great to see my choices of markings and squadron colours for the F16s
did finally get aired even though they are only in flight sim.
I spent a lot of time designing the markings during the rush up to the purchasing deal
before the boom was lowered!
