Agree, they are all really noice pictures. Has anyone with an eye for detail noticed that Harvard 53's fin flash on the starboard side is reversed (blue first), and the Kiwi roundels on the underside of the wings face rearwards?

Thanks guys - I presume flyjoe that you are talking about the real Harvard 53? There has been some comments on that Harvard and the flightsim scheme on NZFF.org with the wing roundels around the worng way and we thought the repainter got it wrong - he then corrected then we found out the real one was also wrong. Didn't note that the fin flash was wrong as well.

The real life NZ1053 is incorrect. I am told it was a joke by one of the restorers (name withheld to protect him from Harvard purists) due to some problems with the RNZAF at that particular time over the military markings being applied. Hence the Kiwi's bum points into the airflow, and the reversed finflash on the starboard side. A statement by one person, but the markings were never subsequently corrected.
