Chris Bromley from the Kiwi Thunder Mustang team just sent me an email saying they've updated their website with new photos of the aircraft and team at Wanaka. I took a look and wow, there are some stunning photos there. Well done to all involved. Take a look at the new Wanaka page here www.kiwithunder.com/wanaka.htm

Video of Tigers Blood at Wanaka which takes a few minutes to down load at www.thundermustang.comPost what you think of it. Considering Tigers Bloods speed I think it is a miracle he was able to keep it in frame. Not many people can even get a photo due to the incredible high performance.

Here is the mighty powerplant. The accessories belie its automotive genesis: Tilton starter motor, single plug head, standard race-spec Earls (aeroquip-style) plumbing, spin-on oil filter.

Hi Simon,
Thank you for the compliment. I am glad you like the site. It is an inexpensive way of placing one's photographs on the internet. It is the best site for presentation of images, athough Pbase is also excellent.

Have just watched the video: what a truly awesome machine the Thunder Mustang is! The thing I like about Tiger's Blood is that unlike many other replicas, she actually sounds just as impressive as the real thing. I might have to save my money and buy myself one for Christmas - although it'll probably be Christmas 2044 before I can afford one! Simon, when are you bringing Tiger's Blood across to Aussie for an airshow? ;D

How long would it take to fly the Tasman in the Thunder Mustang?
Would it beat the Sea Fury's record I wonder?
