Turbo, here's your big chance: you can have a Moto Guzzi AND a Nieuport too! ;D

Does make you wonder why so much time and effort has been put into builiding this aircraft to 3/4 scale when full size is far more realistic and would probably sell easier. Dont get me wrong its a very nice aircraft, I just like the full size versions

I've been over to Turners and had a look - it's in their front showroom. Certainly the Lowther-built example that did a bit of flying around the mid-1990s in the South Island. It was sold to an Auckland owner in 1997, and was cancelled soon after. Looking at the aircraft, I can see why. Single seat, no radio or transponder, not to be used over a built-up area - there is not a lot that you could do with it in Auckland. Quite impractical, once the Walter Mitty fantasy has worn off. It would really need a farm strip and the wide open rural countryside.

So whatever happened to this lil curiosity? Did she manage to sell at all?
Gavin, I'm with you on this one. Just like the Replica Plans Se.5a, why not go the extra metre or so of structure, a couple more dozen hours work, and voila! Full size for life....mind you, it'd be a neat little paddock hopper!

I could not attend the auction - same day as the Whenuapai open day - so have no knowledge of a sale. As far as I can tell, the machine has not yet reappeared on the NZCR so presumably is not yet flying again.
