Umm..quite honestly I thought it would be a while before someone figured me out.. But sadly no, I have been thinking in the school workshop and one or two possibilities have come about..
p.s the candles are for the hovercraft when that's running..

Hi Ryan,
Any help would be much appreciated, Bruce has a few ideas also but I just have not had time to get down and see him. Look forward to any news you have for smoke for our Thunder Mustang, I am sure if someone was to develop a suitable a option there would be a few other Thunder Mustang owners keen to purchase.
Fantastic Auckland weather yet again today of 1000ft cloud base and drizzle. I am supposed to do early evening display at the Auckland Gliding club so looking like a flat display is on the cards!
Cheers, Simon

Hi,
I posted a photo today in the Shuttleworth thread which shows the wingtip smoke generators used on the RAF formation gliding team's aircraft.
The must be pretty light and simple for use on a glider.

I've developed my ideas a bit and have got something that should be workable, cjeap and easy to manufacture, unfortunately building a prototype requires some spare time and money, neither of which I have at the moment (especially time!) I'm not going to reveal any more as I may pursue the idea of producing the system in the future. The systems on the gliders are pyrotechnic / chemical devices, which do have some problems and are heinously expensive!

Ah, that's why the RAF can afford them.
