Beautiful model Smithy, the Hurricane is a purposeful looking aircraft that retains style and grace. Really good weathering too, it brings the model to 'life'.

Thanks for the kind words Joe!
I'm with you, the Hurri is an aircraft that looks great on the ground, purposeful and aggressive. Dare I say it, but I reckon the Hurri looks better on her pins than the Spit.

Agree entirely, although I think we may be outnumbered on that vote!

Funny thing is Joe that I know quite a few people who say the same thing, on the ground the Hurri looks the business, in the air - the Spitfire.

Yep, on the ground the Hurricane looks like a sprinter about to leap out of the blocks, "let me at 'em" sort of thing. In the air the elipctical planform of the Spitfire is hard to beat for grace.

Lovely model Smithy, Is Trondheim close enough for you to get to the IPMS Nationals [or whatever it is called now] in the UK?

Lovely model Smithy, Is Trondheim close enough for you to get to the IPMS Nationals [or whatever it is called now] in the UK? Hi Chappers, are those the ones in Telford? Probably won't be able to make it although it's damn close, plenty coming up work-wise. Would love to though and I've seen some London Trondheim plane tickets are only around £70 - 80 at the mo. Hoping to make it to the Norwegian Nationals next year, but I'm getting married next year so I'll have to see how things fit in. Thanks for the kind comment, Smithy.

Lovely work there. The Hurricane is a wonderful aircraft, and has never gained the respect it really deserved.
I also thought the Hurricane (IIC?) looked fantastic with the 20mm(?) cannon armament

Thanks Corsair.
Yup, the IICs were great with the 4 x 20mm. One of those is on the "to do" list down the track!

Great work Tim, you've done a nice job of it. Is that the Hurricane that Fiske was killed in?

Thanks Dave!
No, Fiske was fatally wounded in P3358 (UF-H) on the 16th August. P3383, which I have portrayed, was the aircraft that he saw most of his action in.

Nice work Tim.
We can never have to many Hurricanes (says he who has built 3).
