You wash cars for a living? You're a Governmental Chauffer? You work for Top Gear? You clear the puddles off runways?

H Guys, No, I would like to be "The Stig" in Top Gear. The scuttlebutt is that it is Tiff Needell but, because 5th Gear is a so-called opposition show, they can't use Tiff. Actually both shows are produced by the same people, so I am told. I knew Tiff when we were racing Formula Fords in England in 1972/3. He won his Lotus 69 in an"AutoSport" competition. No, I don't wash cars but the student does run a car wash! The car needed one afterwards Not a Government chauffeur either. Not a runway clearer. Unfortunately not a flash car tester either. Just a simple advanced driving instructor who is prepared to take Clients out to flog beautiful cars on the Oran Park "skid pan." www.finlays.com.au tells the tale (assuming I can say this and not be abusing the priviledge of the forum.) I let him go for a spin on his own and shot the pix. I had the camera handy as I had been up before sunrise to snap an abandoned ex Qantas HS 125 at "The Oaks" airfield near Camden. The BM was rather too good for this exercise. With stability control disabled, it still too large dollops of throttle to break the rear tyyres loose. The Limited Slip Diff caused both tyres to break traction simultaneously and it was difficult to hold the car in a steady drift angle. My Falcon station wagon was much easier to drifi and it rather upset the Client as you could imagine... an $8,000 2002 Falcon SW beating a $100,000+ BM M3. Anyway he was happy and the pix thrilled him. I can just see a blow-up of the angled shot being displayed on the office wall of the Lane Cove Car Wash.

Hi,
Yes, better than going to work, I say.
The water is pumped from a dam and recycles. There has been a lot of rain later in the Cumberland Basin which surrounds Sydney. Not much in the catchment area for Warragamba though.
I keep a low profile and this forum, for me, is more about my hobby, aviation photography, than work. Thanks for asking, though.
