What wonderful backdrops too. Is that the Wairau river?
It looks like a cold way to travel! I can't help noticing how huge the wheels look on that Cub. Are they non standard? I've never noticed Cub's wheels before so maybe they're all that big?

They are non standard Tundra tyres for landing on rough territory like the river bed in the background. Never seen a Cub in NZ with them - I believe there is also a 185 in NZ with them?

I had never seen this Cub until this morning and those Tundra tyres look great. We have a Tripacer in Blenheim with them as well. The photos above were resized via my pictures for email and so dont look to good as far as res goes but hopefully this one is a bit better
