Nice work Peter, Temora is on my list of things to do so when I finally get over there, hopefully you can take me to the end of the runway to watch the Meteor fly over like the shot you have posted

Thank you Gavin and Dave, I sure felt the wind from the Canberra as it passed overhead.
If they are operating on 23 or 18 then it is easy to gain outside access to the spot on public land in the NE corner of the field. Actually my standing on the extended threshold is bordering on the ridiculous but nothing as potentially dangerous as Tyabb for instance.
Good shots can be obtained from the roadway on the approroach to 36 and, to a less extent, to 05.
It would be great to have you over. Make sure you book accommodation early. I stay at "Patches" which is an old hotel in the centre of town. Rustic with outside facilities, it is very comfortable and cheap at $A30 B&B/night.
Cheers
Peter

Peter, fantastic shots there, as per usual. Did you stay for the whole weekend? I was hoping to get out there for the weekend, but alas things didn't work out.

Great photos there Peter.
I have book marked the museum and B&B for future reference. I must try and get across as I have heard so much about it.

Hi Craig and Colin,
I went on Friday hoping to see the usual practice sessions and the F-111. The wind was blustery and the ground too wet for any significant flying.
Saturday was fine but clouded over to 5 octas. I went sailing on a Benetau 30 on Sydney Harbour in a social race on Sunday. I arranged to come home for Sunday to mow the lawns. Fortunately the grass was too wet so I took up the invitation to sail. Bugger!
The TAM is incredibly good, especially when you consider that it isn't an official airshow and which happens several times per year.
Just don't go in summer if high temperatures are predicted. No later than October.

The avoid Temora during Summer advice is good from what I've heard too. A mate of mine has done it a couple of times, and he reckons it's only for the true diehard fans who are already old and leathery like him! ;D
