What a couple of great little bug smashers. Interesting radiator location on PRB......really keep the passengers ears warm, but could be a problem if it sprang a leak. What does the tail art represent?.

The drawings for the Pientenpol were originally published in "Popular Mechanics" back in the 1930s, so the "Heath Robinson" comments actually arent too far off!. I see PRB has its new powerplant, it was initially flown with a Ford Model A engine (as per the plans) but this was later changed to a Ford Cortina engine. The Toyota it now flies with will be its 3rd powerplant, but it should be a little lighter and easier to gets parts for now. The Dragon on the tail of PRB I think has connections to the Belworthy Family coat of arms. The aircraft a great little bugsmashers, not startling on performance, but they can carry a useful load and are still reasonable practical for cross countries. They are also cheap and easy to build, and by all accounts a lot of fun!
