Thought I'd share some pictures from my days of instructing career. Most of them I didn't take, but they are reflective of my time at the aero club and the 3,500 hours instructing I did in GA. Great times, I miss flying the Cessna 180. White Island from the air White Island again, spot the crazy idiot in the crater for a chocolate fish. (Actually I was flying the 180 at a sensible height, the photo was taken from a 172 well above and further out. Well thats my version anyway) Homebound - Formating on the 172 Flying a Seminole ZK-FLF aka 'Fluffy', my favourite 152. I flew over 1,000 hours in 152's, and FLF did more than its fair share of training ATC cadets each year at Woodbourne, often providing youngsters with their first solo flights. As you can see it was refurbished substantially and is as good as new. Im not sure whether I was happy here or not... Partenavia circuits. Some things you just don't miss. The ground is there somewhere Over Papakura. The Army camp is under the bright spot I think.

JFG, my favourite aeroplane. Where the hell are we? Stopped prop (phone camera shot) Above the rain That 172 in my way again At Whakatane. I had just had a big scare (the guy on the right is looking for guts) as we had just hit a big bird landing on the seal runway. Good old JFG survived undamaged, which is more than you could say for the poor bird

Great pics of some classic GA aircraft there Joe! I have always liked C180s, the finest piece of "Witchita Tin" ever made I reckon. I have also had a few "unlogged" hours in Partenavia ZK-PLA when I worked at Ardmore, during the time it was owned by Roy Broughton / Hibiscus Air. They are quite a nice twin to fly, quite light and sporty I thought, but wouldnt want to bash circuits all day in one. What airstrip is FLF at in its picture? Parakai?

FLF is at Thames, the glider hangar would be to the left of the aeroplane.

Yes, the Cessna 180 is a lovely looking little aircraft.
