I'm on the verge of moving on from my Minolta Dynax up to a digital SLR and I have basically two options.
1) Keep my 80mm and 300mm lenses and buy the Sony Alpha body that they are compatible with.
2) Go for a complete new camera and lens package. Won't settle for less than 300mm though.
Thoughts from the assembled learned folk? What do you reckon?

if your going to go digital - the higher the pixel count for the camera and what you can afford are the main guidelines...... I use Canon others use Nikon - Minolta also have Digitals in their range....... but check for lens compatabilty....... Canon now have a 10MP beastie the 40D and Nikon also have a 10MP model both prices in the 2 2.2000 dollar range..... then you have to consider the lenes as well these also range from the prosumer (come with kit) or the more expensive professional models....... Colin Hunter in Auckland uses Nikon if you want to follow up the Nikon side and your welcom to ring or email me regarding the Canon's ;-) www.musice.co.nz has contact details
