Amazing, cheers for showing those! I remember seeing St Petersberg from the air on my way to London, it's brilliant how you can make out cities and landscapes by shape from those high altitudes.

Great photos. I've flown across Greenland and Iceland too and this brings back happy memories. The country that stunned me most from the air was Turkey, I imagined it would be all sand and flat. It was mostly snowy mountains.

I can remember waking up and going to the cockpit of the herk and looking down at the grand canyon. That was pretty spectacular. Flew over Saudia Arabia going into Bahrain and see why they talked about pretty dismal visibility there. The air seemed full of dust from the deserts.
