Awesome photos there, Rob.
That SE-5A must have the longest exhausts in history!
Is that the Schneider Trophy in the first photo?

Certainly is the cup, very impressive it is too. Did you get any shots of the Supermarine S6 (other than the shot in the background of the Spit and Hurri) Rob?

I got a couple of shots of it but it's impossible to get a clean shot and it's extremely dark. The SE5a exhaust is that long because this aeroplane was used by Savage Skywriting (As was the Shuttleworth Collection's example). Rob

Very impressive place by the look sof it. Nice photos too. The Schneider Trophy sure looks a great piece of art as well as being an important piece of aviation history.

Excellent photos Rob of a fantastic collection. I spent a day in that museum back in 1996 and was blown away by it. The aviation displays are just the tip of the iceberg, there so much to see in there. I took some photos of the aircraft collection but they're nowhere near as nice as your photos. I missed seeing the Schneider Trophy somehow too. It's interesting to see the label descibes itself as a Cup rather than a Trophy.
