Yeah, heat haze is a real bugger. I really like the look of the King Airs, even if some people say they not fantastic.

Nice photos Joe. Many of my IL62 photos had the dreaded heat haze and I guess the only remedy is get up close. One from todays shoot at Ardmore is distorted so much it is arty, well maybe not. I look forward to seeing more photos of WLG traffic Joe. I must come down again before winter. Cheers, Colin

I like the effect on the Citabria in that shot Colin. Nice work both of you.

Ther was an old adage about aircraft; "if it looks right it'll fly right' but you could never apply that to those Beech 1900s could you? With all the appendages and bits it looks to me like it was built by guys receiving instructions over the phone, and they had some bits left over so they stuck them on anyway!

The Dornier 228 is one of the strangest little turbo props around I reckon.

Yea it certainly has a few extra bits hanging on it! I came back from Blenheim to Auckland after Classic Fighters and I was most impressed with the flight, very smooth and not too noisy(I was sitting in the last rear seat on right hand side). Every seat is a window seat! They even have a toilet, one lady went to the toilet on our flight and when she tried to close the door it refused to fully shut. We all kept eyes forward and she was okay! www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=5956440Colin

I rather like the Dornier myself, was very happy to see one operating in NZ, although I haven't seen it in person yet.

no pacific wave on the above ANZ 737. Part of the new scheme or decal supply problem.

Good spotting beagle. Maybe it's had a recent paint job and no time to apply the wave? It looks cleaner than usual.
