I have seen that book (or similar) remaindered in Sydney bookshops. I'll have to go check but these remainder stores wander all over the city from week to week. :-(

A couple of years ago I bought a copy of Pacific Aircraft Wrecks. It was in a second hand book store ,an ex library book for $40.00. The dust jacket is a bit worn and damaged in places and overall the book has been well read over the years. I have not seen a copy before or since (except ABEBooks.com) .When I bought it I knew pretty much I'd never see another copy. Glad I did

Damon, your book isn't ex-Cambridge Library is it? They had the book for years but when i went in a few years ago to get it out, they'd dumped it in an old book sale. Those sales they sell books for about 50 cents! They had no idea of its rarity, value and need to be in a library where people can share it. Gits. They've dumped so many ood quality books from their shelves, it really irks me.

Dave, my book has 'Auckland Public libraries ' and 'Auckland Public libraries Avondale Branch' stamped on various pages .So unfortunately no connection there. Well worth getting the book though( circa 1979).Some of the aircraft on the pages are now flying!

I paid $5 for mine at a second hand book shop quite some time ago. It is in perfect nick apart from a faded spine.
It was probably marked down because someone named Charles Darby scrawled their signature across the title page in 1979. ;D

Mine was bought at a Blenheim second-hand bookshop by my then-girlfriend as a 20th birthday prezzie....$80!!!! Mint condition though. Wanted a copy as long as I can remember, and mine was the first I'd ever seen.
