Two men may face charges after telling check-in staff at Hawke's Bay airport that they had bombs in their luggage this morning.


No flights were disrupted by the incident, which happened around 8.50am.

Police were talking to the men, but had not yet decided whether to charge them.

Napier sergeant Wendy Wright said it was understood that the men were making "a very silly joke".

You'd think by now with so many of these idiotic incidents reported in the news that people just wouldn't make such ridiculous comments anymore. Maybe the fine will teach them a lesson.
