Couldn't quite decide if I should put those here or with other wartime Oxford photos but they are pre war photos so here they are, both taken at Wigram.Note the small red roundel centres and the lack of fin flashes.

Beautiful! Yes, they're in the right place. Are they official photos Shorty? As you're new you may not know, but the rules here are we're allowed to post any RNZAF photos (we have permission from the PRO) but any under 20 years old must be credited as RNZAF official, and any older than that with Air Force Museum. I'm sure you didn't take these oes,

I'm not sure of their pedigree, I have had them for years, I think they came from Derek Woodhall via Bunny Darby so that makes their origin even more dubious quite possibly they are official. so if so we'll say:credit RNZAF Museum.

If they are from Darby then they would be official. These early Oxfords were bought as trainers for the Wellington crews (except for NZ254, the aerial survey one).

Either way they're great shots. Thanks for posting them. I assume as they're from B Flight the stripes and letters were blue, bit I wonder what colout the serial letters were. They look darker than the silver skin, unless it's an optical illusion due to being surrounded by a dark colour.

I liked this photo so much I was inspired to add a little colour to it. It hasn't come out great but it was really just a half hour quickie job whilst I was also watching the Bush Tucker Man.
