Hi All As David Tua would say, I found this Orsome (O for Awesome) DVD the other day. It is Called New Zealand Transport Memories (4 DVD) Set. The 4 DVD’s in the set are: New Zealand Road Memories Classic New Zealand Aviation New Zeland Maritime Memories The New Zealand Railway Story Not being into roads, ships or trains, I have only watched the Classic New Zealand Aviation DVD, and it is fantastic. I have not been that entertained for quite a while. It has 9 separate chapters being: Classic Years Night Flight Documentary New Reel – International Airports 1953 Wellington Airport Mangere Air Display Air Freight Top Dressing 1958 Newsreel RNZAF Jetabatics Highlight for me was the 1953 Wellington Airport chapter. I did not realise that three Vulcan’s came for the opening and did a flypast. Also did not know that there was a B29 and other fighter jets like a Voodoo…. This really is a great video of a great era in NZ Aviation. There is a web site, but I am not sure of availability, best to ring them first: www.transpressnz.com/Aviation.htmlHere is the Website, there are two other “Classic Aviation” DVDs also available, which after watching this first one, I will now try and get: Just spoke to them and you can get a three box set for $50.00 + Postage.
