Flying Officer Ron Nairn slightly injured. Aircraft written off at No.14 Squadron on 05 March 1948 as reduced to produce and spares. Corsair..right on the button, Barrie had written Ron Nairn under the photo, I just forgot to add to the post.

Paul - thanks for all the latest photos, especially interesting are the Harvard shots, those two Bristol Frieghter photos and the interesting belly landing photos. That's an interesting scheme on the two seat Vampire - I've never seen one with a pinstripe before.

Thanks GB for taking time to find out. In fact the time to put this whole thread together. I see that there have been roughly some 2100 views which shows just how much interest there has been.
What did SQDN Reid do after he left the Air Force? Or did he retire from the A/F.?

P 9 of this post has a photograph of apparently # 30 Flying Instructors course, at rear John Pendreigh and Barry Gordon, front also from L, Russell Stewart and Geoff Wallingford.

Queenstown Barrie recalls that he didn't take into to account the altitude and off course the Harvard is under powered. They evidently pulled out of a loop very close to the Lake and received accolades for their precision flying and I think a standing ovation from the crowd!

There is a nicer version of that first Queenstown photo above on my aerobatic team website section plus a little info from some of the other pilots involved.
Gee that burned out Devon looks nasty.
