I wish I could've got it - was my intention to at least find out if they wanted to sell it - sadly missed out though. C'est la vie. As I say, it was hardly the last one in the country

Dave - nah, the wing's so big it could BE the mailbox The guys at work are suggesting all sorts of things, gate guardian at home seems to be the most popular Plans are forming, but I'd rather get things started first

James Aviation built one, CTZ with a PT6. Robertson Air Service built two with Garrett TPE331s. BHQ (aka the FU1160) was the first, which crashed in 1968 sadly killing Bob Scott. The second was CYY (the FU1284). James was first by a matter of weeks

I vaguely remember a Fletcher fuselage in a scrap yard in Hamiltron. I am back there next week so will drive by and have a geez. I think your best bet for price and service will be your WAW network. In time pieces will come though Zac...
Have it as a gate guardian I say. I would fit the electrical system with photo sensitive switches so that when the sun comes up she starts up... just like the real thing... until the sun goes down.
Mr and Mrs Neighbour will love that ;D
Also Zac, on the 50 years of Fletcher Book, I would be keen to grab a copy but don't have the capability of sending a check (in NZ dollars anyway). Is Lou in Te Kuiti? I am keen to grab one, just need to find a way to pay for it!

Super Air have some 'scrap' at the back of the hangar there. If you contacted Phil, he might be feeling in a generous mood, otherwise a donation to the staff beer fund might help acquire some things.

Thanks Mike, I was thinking as much I've heard marvellous things about their spares department. Sounds like heaven in a hangar for me!
