Great stuff there Stu. It is amazing to see how much yellow paint overspray remains visible from her 1992 'temporary' coat we gave her. By the way, I was not responsible for the masking, don't blame me. In fact I think this comes down to the experimental nature of the peel off skin which had never been done in NZ before. It obviously didn't like the cracks and panel lines. It's much more successful these days I think.

Great photos, that interior looks like a couple of old 70's chairs I have in the spare room

I thought that when I first saw the interior back in 1992, looks like a lounge suite.

Great photos, that interior looks like a couple of old 70's chairs I have in the spare room I can't find the info at the moment to confirm it, but I'm sure I heard that the interior was redone in the seventies to reflect a more comfortable "corporate" look as opposed to stock standard WW2. Somebody out there may be able to shed more light on this perhaps? Cheers, Stu.

Yep, that interior look is pretty 'special', alright! I assume this was done by John Dilley, the American who restored this particular Mustang?

I always wondered what happened to my parents old lounge suite...
Interesting to compare it to the P40 pics also posted on here. Completely different take on restoration.

I just wanted to give this thread a bump, despite the Photobucket-isation that's unfortunately taken place.
