Hi all! Short and sweet, I'm after ANY issue of the 1:72 FROG/Novo/Zvezda Fokker F.VIIb3/m "Southern Cross", preferably with decals. I want to build it as I'm on a big Kingsford Smith kick at the moment, having just reread the book "Smithy" by Ian Mackersey. Any/all help greatly appreciated! ....also looking for a Lockheed Altair!  |

Apparently it pops up on eBay.co.uk every so often, and a couple of online stores in the UK have them.....I'd prefer (for shipping costs) to get one in NZ though. Plus that means less time to wait! |

Which exhaust system will you use? Note that over-wing exhausts were fitted to the outer engines for one of the NZ trip.
You could nick the finished model which is on display at Sydney(KS) airport terminal building but it doesn't carry enough fuel to fly to NZ.

I am thinking that some sort of Avation Pioneer range of models would be very popular. Airfix had the Fighter Aces range, and there are numerous other military themes going, but a civilian pioneers range would be a good idea. So many different and varied aircraft types and people.

Frog had a few, later released by Novo - Alcock and Brown's Vimy, the Old Bus, DH Comet G-ACSS, Amy Johnson's Moth Jason....would be good to see them revived by "high tech" companies today . By the way, found a few FROG issues of 'USU on eBay, hoping like mad to get one |

Thread can now be dead - just won not only a FROG "Old Bus", but also a FROG 1:72 Vickers Vimy! All parts, all decals, all in original boxes, all for under NZ$75 including shipping!
Oh, forgot to day, FROG also released a Spirit Of St Louis, but I've bought a cheaper Testors version. I'm surprised they (FROG) never released a Gull Six with G-ADPR in the decals.....
