Nice. That really is an ugly terminal building.

Drug induced by the look of it. There's a very strange house in Queen Street, Cambridge with a similar style, I wonder if he had anything to do with that?

Thanks little Google street view man Great scenery Timmo, I feel a download coming on. The last time I was at Whakatane airport would have been in my TVNZ days in late eighties, I'm kind of glad in a nostalgic way that the terminal hasn't been flattened and something new put in its place despite how "unusual" it may look. Cheers, Stu.

That's the one Stu, looks like it was designed by a kindergarten teacher. A right eye sore in my opinion, especially as most of the houses around it are classic Victorian villas.

Very nice, timmo. Do the cars in the carpark get towed away if they're parked there too long? ;D

hehe I hope not- I was going to include my car in those models but it was too hard to model (to many curves and shapes = polys = less performance)

Hi
I'm one of those people who don't play flight Sims much less watch TV, but thought this was lovely work Timmo. Well done. We spend quite a lot of time trying to recreate old Airport buildings in REAL 3D (as models) and use 2D animation software (Toon Boom) but all Frame by Frame Arty stuff. Maya and Lightwave are used infrequently.
Real Kiwiana stuff here and well worth the considerable effort.
