the Cessna appears to be C404 ZK-NDY c/n404-0693, owned by Ashburton Air Services, imported into NZ by Dennis Thompson International in April 2008 ex N6764D pics can be found here nzcivair.blogspot.com/2008/12/cesna-404-titan-ambassador-111-zk-ndy.htmlEDIT: appears to be a two month time delay between the above pic and the registration to DTI, but since it changed ownership to Ashburton Air Services on same day I'd say it was imported at start of 08 and sat in Timaru for a few months before NZ registration - also looks like N rego has been removed from tail |

I think it is one of lakelands UH1H that was used for the in the X men movie that was filmed in queenstown last year (can't remember its reg), it was mounted with a 5.56mm chain gun and a pair of pair of 2.75" folding fin rocket launchers. They also used a hulk that was blown up during filming.
