Very good question . The comentator at Omaka made it sound like twilight displays are not unusal , so there must have been more . ( they even had a name for a manouvre performed to look good with lights on ). I believe they were pushing the rules a bit at Omaka , but it did look good !

Is this BE 2 the same aircraft that has been displayed naked in previous years ? Is it powered by an original RAF engine or is this one of the new build engines to the original design ?

This is the very same machine that appeared naked at Classic Fighters 2005, and has an original RAF1A engine up front.

If that is an original RAF engine in the BE , what are they putting their new build engine in ?

Really neat shots Colin, The shot of the Spitfire and the previous one of the Corsair near the monastery really show how big that structure was.

Camel: The ground handlers in action: Dave, I notice that the forum seems to reload images every time a page is loaded. Therefore your posts with multiple images will have them reloaded every time that page of the thread is looked at by someone (or that they are still on the '100 recent post' page). People can still look at them on your photobucket account however. You might what to use the 'IMG for bulletin boards & forums' option 'Clickable thumbnail' and/or give a link to your album (I looked at the code in your post, and worked out that the address is s292.photobucket.com/albums/mm13/oldcrowfilms/Classic%20Fighters%202009/)

Thanks Errol. I might give that a try, later. I assume at the end of the month it will reset and they will all come back.

Apparently the original plan was to blow up the monastery as part of the display, but the dryness of the local terrain meant that the risk of a big grass fire was too high and the fire service advised them to keep all the pyro displays on the airfield.
