Dambusters Director Christian Rivers who was previously an assistant art director in Lord of the Rings has walked away from the project in frustration at two years of delays. Christian has taken a job offer in Seattle and flies out Monday 9 August. Christian says that Peter is entirely focussed on producing the Hobbit movie and he feels he just has to move on with his own life. I wish Christian well. Here's hoping the movie isn't fatally stalled after so much effort. Well since your posting here about Christian Rivers apparently leaving the Dambusters film project there has been nothing in the news media, and nothing on the official Peter Jackson fan club forums, and I can find no reference to this on the Weta workshop newspage. So I'd like to respectfully ask where you got the information from please Tazjet? Are you certain you have not confused Christian Rivers' departure from Dambusters with Guillermo del Toro's departure from The Hobbit project? |
