Hi, I was at a militeria exhibition/fair on the Shankill Road in Belfast yesterday morning and bought a small silver ID bracelet with the following engraved on it,
C.C.L. DOWDALL, Roman Catholic, 2nd Lt. R. Berks & R.F.C.
I googled the name out of interest and your forum can up. The R.Berks I believe refers the the Royal Berkshire Regiment which was a regiment in the British army. I hope this is of interest to you
