I have two signed copies of Peter Clark's new book "Flying - Adventures of a New Zealand Aviation Addict" to give away. Go to aviationtoursnz.com, answer a simple question and go in the draw for your early Christmas present.

Hi Dee We won't be too far away as we have 2 nights at Saffron Walden while we are at the airshow on 11th July and the following day are going back to the Imperial War Museum as it's one of the best but sadly we don't have any time to vary from the itinerary. If you are planning a trip to the airshow we could meet up - we might even be able to offer you a free nights accommodation if you fancy a trip down to Saffron. My contact details are on the itinerary - see the link at the top of here. Call or e-mail for a chat. Mel & Kev

It looks as though there was a surprise participant at Legends this year, a debut for a British airshow after an absence of several years: judging by photos at the Key Publishing/FlyPast forum, the Sun was in attendance! By all accounts a very hot and sunny show with some wonderful aircraft flying such as Polikarpov I-16 #9, the former ZK-JIN making her UK debut.

I went to Flying Legends in 2008, and although the Saturday weather was grey with some rain, Sunday was perfect blue skies and sunshine all day. The place was packed because RIAT was cancelled due to the ground being too wet for parking and crowds meaning all the overflow came to Duxford and it was packed. Reminded me a bit of Wanaka weather - you can end up with totally different weather each day!
I'm heading back to the UK for the Battle of Britain airshow at Duxford in early September so who knows what sort of weather might result.....

Hi Dave, yes I'll certainly post some photos. I'm taking in the Goodwood Revival and the last Shuttleworth evening display as well so should have some good shots, as long as the English weather plays the game!

Eieio you have taken some fantastic photos. I have visited Duxford and the RAF Museum but of course a lot of improvements and additions have been done since. Love the shot of the Devon/Dove hanging from the ceiling. (Must be a strong rook there is a lot of airframes hanging off it!! Nice to see the Loch Ness Wellington with partial fabric too. An amazing piece of RAF and WW2 history sitting there.
And the shot of the Lightning at Cosford standing vertical! Someone has seen the photos of RAF Lightnings doing that for real! Thanks for sharing! ;D

We are still in the UK at the moment and sorting the photos as we have hundreds. We will load up at the end of next week on our return. We have some from Farnborough too.
