Westfield Manukau City is close to the motorway, and has all the normal places. Papakura is more spread out. Sylvia Park is further north, but close to motorway, focus on clothing. Sent from my D5503 using proboards Half of Papakura shopping has moved to Takanini Village(The Warehouse) nice pub there now too called The Blacksmith. Takanini Village as across my side of the railway line from Mitre 10. Check out www.facebook.com/takaninivillageCheers, Colin

Couple of shots taken at Whenuapai today. N2824B did a high speed pass before landing, seen here doing the wing over after a steep climb. N2824B (NZ1401) coming in to land after a flight this morning. N2826B (NZ1402) coming in low before departing to Ohakea. Very quick machines, I am looking forward to seeing them at the Air shows in future. Cheers, Colin

Awesome pics Colin. Do you have special access to the airport grounds or are all your spots open to the public? I always thought the closest we were allowed to get was the viewing platforms. Viewing platforms are the public areas and easiest to get pics from however I have taken some from public car parks and usually just in and out as they arrive or depart. Too expensive anyway to stay any great length of time as the charges are horrendous!! just got to make sure your not disrupting anyone or getting in the way. It is a pity there is not a more user friendly area to use like they have at some airports overseas. Some even have restaurants overlooking the runways for friends and family to watch their loved ones depart or arrive. We are a travelling nation mostly because we live so far away from relatives or friends overseas so have an interest in whats happening at airports. I always reckon the more people watching the harder it would be for a terrorist to do anything without being noticed. Cheers, Colin

Thanks for that link Colin. Do all unusual flights, such as this and military flights fall under sky care? Quite a few do and sometimes if your lucky they come in while your there. Cheers

you got enough fingers for all the steering wheel buttons Beags, we have 16 button controls on our 6 year old Mondeo... doesn't have to be Korean, or Japanese or new to have too many controls on the steering wheel! (Sorry guys, getting a bit off topic...) Don't really need the buttons everything is automated? When it rains the wipers work, when it gets dark the lights come on, when my mobile phone goes then I have to push a button to answer but I guess siri would do that if I let it? :-) Great to have a car again with cruise control(maybe the wife will use it and stop getting speeding tickets). Big difference at the petrol pump CRV $110 Rio $65 for a fill up and goes 100 km more. Only thing missing is perhaps it could pay the bill? ;-) Now back to Auckland Rarities! Cheers, Colin

Japan Prime Minister visited Auckland and Christchurch today. JF2 take off for CHC. JF1 take off for CHC later in the day and I assume the Prime Minister of Japan is on this one judging from the motorcade that went past my vantage point. Cheers
