Was that a French Navy P3 Orion I saw parked up at the RNZAF park at Welly Airport yesterday? Dark blue with a huge anchor on the tail. Interesting

The Chileans arrive and depart from Wellington to clear customs, then do a shark patrol to Blenheim for heavy maintenance. Been doing it for years.

Yup that's it. Oh dear..... When I saw it, it was getting dark and I thought was dark blue.... Time for a colour blindness test ;D

The French don't operate Orions...ther main ASW/MP aircraft is the Atlantic....don't think any of those have visited NZ?
I don't think there will many future Chilean Orions visits as the C295MPs are replacing them
