Great record of '01's final (we hope) assembly! Now compare with these from late 1969 of '01 being assembled at the McDonnell Douglas factory in California (RNZAF Museum images).

Very cool, Don! Thanks for sharing!
Great work by the RNZAF team, I've enjoyed the daily updates as 201 comes back together. I look forward to getting there at some point. I also noticed the lack of guns - do they all have these removed and faired over now?
And does anyone have word of progress on the Nowra TA-4G? Calum? It's been awful quiet since she arrived.

The removal of the cannons is part of the demilitarisation process that has to be done to satisfy the US State Dept for them going to museums (although NZ6207 and NZ6254 at Wigram have them fitted still).

It looks like they have done a great job of cleaning up the Skyhawk. The information boards and other stuff around it look great too. Well done Classic Flyers.

A bit of theatrical lighting and decent signs! Andrew Gormlie has stamped his professional standard all over Classic Flyers from day 1. I like it a lot !

They do appear to have done an excllent job cleaning it up. 55 was quite messy when it turned up here. One small point there doesn't apepar to be a 2 Sqn board..
Looking forward to seeing it ion Jan 2013.
