The numbers of people on the list for the Forum Meet are rising rapidly, faster than any forum meet before this! We're already nearly at 50 people, which is brilliant. Make sure you register your intention to attend with me asap in case we get so many we have to put a cap on numbers.

What a fabulous idea and a generous gesture that we can all be a part of!! If we individually can't afford a $4000 flight, or whatever it may be, for ourselves, lets make Alan proud and know that he has a lot of hidden admirers and well wishers!! Let him have the joy of that fabulous ride and we can all bear a smile when he alights! What a great idea. How are the other rides to be advertised Dave? Do we just contact Warbirds Jenny? ourselves, Tuesday-Thursday, and Saturdays? I myself would be keen for the DC3 ride for instance. Warbirds Assn - 09-298-9207 www.nzwarbirds.org.nz/contact.htmlFly Dakota - 09-479-1378 www.nzwarbirds.org.nz/dakota/contact.htmlI have a message left with Jessica Cooper of Fly Dakota. I guess too, it depends on time availabkle to take a flight and whether there are adequate staffing levels (Captain etc) available. Donating tonight. Graeme

Hi Graeme,
Currently Warbirds Vice President is compiling a list of the rides that will be available and the prices which we'll post here soon. It will certainly depend on who and what aircraft are available on the day, but we should know fairly soon.
We are planning to work time into the day's programme where people who've booked a flight can go up without missing too much of the speeches, etc. And while they are flying the others not flying can hopefully all just mix, mingle, chat and look round the aeroplanes and displays, etc.

You lot are all awesome! We're already over $1500 when we add on Andy's $60 that he found in his wallet. Nearly halfway to achieving this. Bloody well done. Keep it up!

Not entirely sure if we'll make it to the forum meet, but I want Alan to fly in a Spit again, so I've donated

There will of course be Warbird rides available. NZ Warbirds Vice-President John Kelly has compiled this list of available aircraft that you can choose from, should you choose to indulge in a ride.
Fox Moth $60 per person (2 pax)
Warbirds Adventure Rides Ltd have available: Harvard $600 (30 minutes) P40 Kittyhawk $2500 (30 minutes) Spitfire $3950 (30 minutes)
Strikemaster Ltd have available: Harvard $599 (20 minutes) $699 (40 minutes) Mustang $2499 (20 minutes) Strikemaster $2499 (20 minutes) $2999 (30 minutes)
Flights can be done on either Saturday or Sunday or booked for another time. Contact John Kelly on 0212754360 for bookings and he will coordinate timings etc.

Stupid question. If we raise more does that mean Alan can have a longer flight?

We still need to pay for the Harvard chase plane fuel ($600), for the air to air photography to take place. After that, who knows. But don't count your chickens too soon, donations have really slowed down now and we still require another $734 to reach the target.

Make that $684 to go Dave, $50 from me on the way. I'll share amongst the NZ aeromodelling fraternity as well, might pick up a few $ there.

Great idea. I've put a few dollars in and I will be there on the 28th forum meet. I figure if we contribute, perhaps one day it will be our turn.
