Yep, great news indeed. I shall be pre-ordering one. NZ has both an Air Force and Navy history with the venerable Walrus, so I'm looking forward to options to build. Kinda wish (hope) they would include a catapult in it ...? The level of detail looks amazing. I had to scratch build a lot of that when I took on the ancient Merit/Smer 1/50th scale version a while back as NZ152 'B' ... rnzaf.proboards.com/thread/19968/rnzaf-supermarine-walrus-mk-smer

RNZAF members also flew the Walrus with the RAF, and I believe the first air sea rescue unit set up was after a kiwi in a Walrus went out into the Channel and rescued a downed pilot.

Love the Shagbat. My partner Sue's dad ended up on them in Ceylon after (what later became very apparent) far, far too much time in Stirlings, Wellingtons, Halifax and Lancs. One of ours shot down over Crete(?) in the early days. The one in the RAF Museum sat for many years outside the Museum at Camden. Spent lots of time crawling over, into and around it.

K5783, the Walrus shown in the Airfix screed, has a New Zealand connection. She served on board some of the cruisers of the NZ Division.

Sank after damage during ship recovery at Aitutaki 15Jul39.
Maybe the Air Force Museum guys should pop up there and take a look?
