China Southern replaced the Airbus A330 with the Boeing 787 CZ305 service into Auckland from Guangzhou yesterday. A few more seats and extra freight capacity. Cheers, Colin Actually a reduction in capacity with the introduction of the 787 - down to 228 seats from the A330's 284.

CSA 787's will be operated mostly by Kiwi/Oz/US/UK contract pilots, there will most likely be a small number number of AKL based pilots to crew the flights...at least thats the plan.

Those weren't taken from Puhinui Rd?? Just off Puhinui Road on Prices Road that goes to Puhinui Reserve. My secret is out as two other spotters were there further along the road. A few weeks ago i was taking some belly shots of aircraft for a friend and a few vehicles were using the road coming and going including a truck and trailer unit from Gisborne. Every single one of them were talking on mobile phones while they drive! Unbelievable! Airport Police patrol that road too I wonder how many they catch? Cheers, Colin PS in summer the sunny side of aircraft on final is to the south till around 11:00am hence my position at Prices Road. Any photos from Puhinui Road are back lit and I bin those. Winter its all from the northern side.

I think I remember hearing somewhere that Evergreen are shutting down? Or at least in serious financial trouble.

Sad to see her go offshore. Jumbo used to live here in Cambridge before that place up north got their hands on her and screwed her up bigtime.
