I fully agree with Craig's sentiments, thanks and well done. Great shots!
The Sioux are 05 and 06. Which others are still in service, any?

But he's in Adelaide - which is such a long way away from here! ;D Colin, I felt very silly when I was at Edinburgh last October, as I kept seeing this photographer walking around, but couldn't think of where I knew him from. A week later it all came back to me - it was George! I hope he didn't recognise me, as he'd probably think I was a complete snob.

NOT!Great photos ... insert envious grumble As mentioned on another related thread .... envious grumble increasing. In no particular order... There were always crowds around the shiney Herc. And none around the KingAir. P-40 aborted it's display due to coolant issues. Nice to see the Dragonfly again (although it is no Mosquito...) Vampire Getting some use out of the Trojan "Everywhere you looked the sky was full of RNZAF aircraft..." The 4-pallet drop Yakrobats Thunder Mustang Not a good photo, but a good angle. Parking enforcement Stealth CT/4 At the top of the loop... Missed approach Is this the "lady-like poot" referred to in another thread? Usually I go and have lunch during the RNZAF displays at airshows, but this time they were all excellent. The Kiwi Blue jump was one of the most spectacular they have done; Sioux Blue did a fantastic display, and the various Huey displays were all top notch. Now if only they can get the parking sorted so that you don't have to sit in the carpark for 30 minutes waiting for progress out of the ONE gate it would be perfect.

Brett, there were TWO gates! Turn left past the Main Gate to Tangimoana-Speedy's Line-SH1 to Wellington, or turn right to Bulls -Sanson. That gate was a bit slow, we got out out in a minute or two, no waiting.

Great pics guys. I was looking for the P3 doing it's 3 engine pass but none here yet. A pity no B757 was there. Did the C17 turn up

I agree, great photos there, that shot of Colins demonstrates Keiths low flying style very well indeed. Can anyone tell me who flew the harvard 15? Great to see how the day went and who needs to by magazines when one can vist Daves forum, great stuff

Awesome photos guys, am just going through mine at the moment...
And it took us well over an hour to vacate the car park - there seemed to be one long line which wasn't moving and three equally long lines that were crawling... Great day otherwise!

Re the Sioux, I make five still active. NZ3705 and 06 did the performance, NZ3713 was in the hangar with kids crawling over it. NZ3702 and 12 would seem to be also current, although not evident on the day. The Vampire under rebuild would be FB5 NZ5772. Notable omissions from the display were the 757 and (surprisingly) the Seasprite. The pilot of NZ1015 was mentioned by name. No recollection of who, but he was a Pom who served with the RAF prior to enlistment with the RNZAF. From the Aardvark's mouth . . .

There was some kind of race going on one part too. An Iroquois, Airtrainer and an LAV. Colin

Mention was made of the P3 ability to cruise around on two engines if needs be, but the three-engined pass didn't happen at Ohakea.
There is a recorded incident of an RAF Lincoln at a display in the UK doing a fly-by on ONE engine, and I recall seeing Shackletons doing the same on two, so there's nothing new under the sun....

Great shots there Sam. The Corsair take off looks great with one leg retracting. My one was blurry so I binned it. Doug Brooker caught in his smoke looks fantastic, well done. Over exposed the flame on this one so will have to do surgery later on to improve. :-) Colin
