Nice pics aru. Seems we all had a great shooting day. Weather helped and crowd position with sun behind us most of the day. Colin

I found it quite funny with the first pass of the f-111. you could hear the normal airshow crowd noise, but when people realised the f-111 was approaching at Mach .9 it went eerily silent. after it had passed the crowd erupted in noise as people were talking excitedly to one another about what they just saw Not the greatest pic, but it's always a moment I have enjoyed...Fast jet approaching at .9 Mach or so The show was too much for this little bloke near me (taken before the F-111 display if you're wondering!)

Sam, love that shot of the Pig on its way in to scare the hell out of anyone not paying attention to what's going on. Again, fantastic shots all round, team.

There is a recorded incident of an RAF Lincoln at a display in the UK doing a fly-by on ONE engine, and I recall seeing Shackletons doing the same on two, so there's nothing new under the sun.... I have heard storiesabout a shackeltonflying around then without radio warning, line up to land on an american carrier. The yanks saw the funny bristish a/c coming in with only 2 or 1 engine turning so promptly pushed aircraft off the deck, then as it got closer, started the other engines up and flew away. Somebody has heard this one or even got a better version of it.

Those are totally awesome photos ;D ;D ;D Thanks for posting them The folks up here at Whenuapai will have their work cut out to beat that one (which mind you last year's was awe some).. Speaking of little kids, at Whenuapai the Iroquios's went by like they do, side door gunner lighting off the MG 60 at the crowd when my little boy burst into tears. When asked why he was crying, his comment " we're the good guys why is he shooting at us" Answer that one...... had to try and explain it was just pretending..... he wasn't totally convinced..

That CT/4E gaggle looks so impressive, almost as good as the time I saw 16 CT/4B's up in formation, but that was a sad occasion as it was their farewell from Wigram.
