Same vein as the Omaka thread, just wondering who is planning to go, and wanting to provide a mutual planning space for meets and the like.

I've taken the Sunday off work (just in case I'm rostered to work it — I haven't sussed out the roster that far ahead, so put in for leave just in case) and I've also taken the Monday off as well (once again, taking precautions in case it turns out I'm rostered for a 4:30am start that day).
I've got a large group of friends (from littlies right up to adults) heading over from Wellington on the Sunday, so I'll be at Hood as soon as the gates open to claim a spot right by the fence along the crowd-line (I'll set up lots of chairs to claim the space while I wait for my friends to turn up). I usually don't bother with a Gold Pass at Wings over Wairarapa as I generally only attend one day (I'm a local yokel, so get to attend most of the open days and mini flying displays). However, if it turns out I'm rostered off from work that particular weekend, then I'll perhaps think about attending on the Saturday as well, although there is a possibility in that case I could end up working some overtime on Saturday, hauling a set of empty passenger cars to Wellington early in the morning, then running the airshow train with them back to Wairarapa.

Have a great time everyone, drive carefully, don't drink too much, use sunscreen and a hat, and make sure you have clean underwear on in case you get hit by a bus.

Regretfully due to the economic downturn I will not be attending this years WoW airshow. Well everyone seems to blame that so why can't I? ;D
I look forward to seeing lots of photos on this forum from those that are going!
Cheers

Have a prior engagement in Blenheim on Saturday night so will be flying to Wellington and driving to Masterton for both Saturday and Sunday. Really looking forward to the first major airshow of 2009.

Wiil be there on Friday hanging around the fence (or the field depending on access) to hopefully catch some arrivals and practices.
Attending Saturday with Phil82 and possibly wife and babe in tow.
Sunday will be my weather alternate, or rematch if I am in the mood (advantage of living in Wellington).

Four in semi-comfort can fit in a Cresco hopper PG Ok, turns out I WILL be turning up with someone! Lovely young lady attending her first airshow. Gonna try Saturday, weather-dependent, otherwise fall back on Sunday.

This was going to fit in nicely with a planned trip back to NZ to see the family etc..... Regretably, my brother-in-law has decided to get married on Waiheke in December this year..so thats royally messed up my plans! Its not all bad though, I now understand that on the weekend in question that the "bossman" needs to be in Honululu, so perhaps a trip over to the big island for a bit of body surfing! Personally, I think its the credit crunch!

I'll definitely be there on the Sunday only (I'm working on Friday and Saturday). I should be in the gates as soon as they open, then setting up a line of chairs along the crowd-line fence within 50 metres or so to the left of the Gold Pass enclosure and guarding the space until a groups of friends arrive from Wellington, as well as my 87-year-old Dad who is coming on a day excursion bus trip from Hastings to the airshow.

I will be making it to this years show. Hopefully helping out on the 'live side' again. Whether it be with the WW I guys or the heavier stuff I am not sure . Last time I was knackered after helping on the F2B holding the wing tip taxying back after the display. Plan is to be there both days.

Found out today I'll be there both days, helping look after the Seasprite for flying and manning the static display too. Drop on by and say hello, I'll be the one in camo. Les.
