I have a friend who is also from Hill Top, he was freaking out when he heard Hill Top might be on alert. Have you been to Fountaindale Grand Manor?

I read that the airport organised it. Wonder how many people missed their flights that day.

Great photos. Been meaning to check out the IFR and take some photos. Might try and get some from Macquarie's chair at night. The fire works would of been awesome with the ships.

What a shame he didn't hit more of the scum. Pretty tough guys in a big group.

Thanks! I was thinking of doing some more but I might down size the metal size, the three I have are taking up too much room, I used to have them mounted on the wall, but it took up the whole wall.If I was to do some more I think I would make the next ones a bit more personal, maybe RNZAF roundel with 'NZ5459' or 'OJ-R' in RAF colours.

Good chance for them to have some fun and see other places before they went into harm's way.

Thanks! I thought about selling them, I'm still a bit rough at it at the moment, maybe if I get good at it I will. They cost around $70 each to make. Dave, I tried to get them painted on but I got quoted $700 just for one pinup girl, so I used decals I ordered online, here is the site.. www.military-graphics.com/noseart.html

I wish I could say I hand painted them but the truth is they are decals, the only one hand painted is the top sharks teeth. The green grey was spray paint from a hobby shop. I got my hands on three aluminium sheets from the hardware store, got them rolled and riveted one.
These are my first attempt at this so they are a bit rough, but anyone with some painting skills could do some wonders with this idea.

75 RAAF used to carry beer instead of amo in their KittyHawks while they were based at Port Moresby.

Wonder if the Zinc undercoat had something to do with the radio transmissions?
